Rakuten Japan Open
The Rakuten Japan Open is the nation’s largest tennis tournament,
held every autumn at Ariake Colosseum*. Since 2009 it has attracted some of the
world’s top players. Rakuten has continued to nurture the partnership, enhancing the
event for both the players and fans alike. During the tournament,
Rakuten invites young tennis players, giving them the chance to learn from
some of the greatest players in the world.
*The tournament will be held at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza in 2018.
Marie Kondo is Rakuten’s first “Joy Ambassador."
Kondo is the author of several bestselling books including “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” and “Spark Joy”, star of the Emmy-nominated Netflix original series “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo”, mastermind behind the popular KonMari brand.
